(Old Testament Prophecy - Psalm 69:3)
“I am exhausted from crying for help; my throat is parched. My eyes are
swollen with weeping, waiting for my God to help me.”
(Fulfilled in Jesus - John 19:28)
“Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he
said, ‘I am thirsty.’”
Thought:
All that Jesus went through including the horrible thirst was out of love and
desire for mankind to be restored to relationship with God.
Prayer:
Lord, I hunger and thirst for Your presence. Please remind me when I thirst for
You or thirst for a drink, that You chose to take my place of suffering. May my desire for
Your presence be unquenchable.
