Today’s Reading: John 1:1-5

Thought:

When we think of Jesus, we often limit our thinking to His earthly life — a teacher, a servant, a miracle-worker, an example, and a sacrifice. But John introduces Jesus to us as being much more than just a man. As “the Word,” Christ is described as being eternal in nature, one with God, involved in creation, and the life-giving light to the world. He is God, life, light, and salvation; the eternal, perfect in every way, infinitely powerful, all-knowing, ever-present Son of God. And yet, He willingly took on flesh and came to this world to become our Savior! The Son of God became the Son of Man and experienced humanity with all of its trials and temptations. What an amazing testament to the great love of God and Oh, what a Savior!

How would you describe Jesus to someone who knew nothing about Him?
