Today’s Reading - Matthew 3:13-17
Thought:
In speaking of His baptism, Jesus says to John that “it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” If it was right and good for Jesus to fulfill the righteousness of God and to leave nothing undone that would honor God and His will, certainly, the same can be said for us. As we search the pages of God’s Word and learn of the will of God for our lives, our determination and commitment should be to do His will and leave nothing undone that God desires. It is interesting and troublesome that so many in today’s world want to argue with the Scriptures in an attempt to avoid doing all that God commands. Instead, it ought to be our desire to be obedient to God in every way and, in the words of Jesus, “to fulfill all righteousness.”
What are some things that you can do to fulfill all righteousness?
