COMMITTED HIS SPIRIT

(Old Testament Prophecy - Psalm 31:5)

“I entrust my spirit into your hand. Rescue me, Lord, for you are a faithful God.”

(Fulfilled in Jesus - Luke 23:46)

“Then Jesus shouted, ‘Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!’ And with those words he breathed his last.”

Thought:

As prophesied by the psalmist and seen in the Gospels, Jesus entrusted His life fully to the Father’s care. Even in death, He offered it up to God on our behalf with total trust and confidence that God is faithful.

Prayer:

Father, help me to trust You with my life the way Jesus trusted You with His. Help me to see that there is nothing to fear in life or death because You are always faithful to Your children. Today, this day, I once again offer myself to You. Do with me as You desire for I am fully Yours. Amen.
