HE WILL RISE AGAIN TO LIFE

(Old Testament Prophecy - Psalm 118: 15b-17)

“The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things! The strong right arm of the Lord is raised in triumph. The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things! I will not die; instead, I will live to tell what the Lord has done.”

(Fulfilled in Jesus - Mark 16:6-7)

“… but the angel said, ‘Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body. Now go and tell his disciples including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of your to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.’”

Thought:

Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by many documented eyewitnesses. God chose to reveal His plan to redeem mankind, and each of His proclamations about the coming Messiah has been revealed in Jesus. What is God’s victory that the psalmist described? It’s the rising of His Son from the grave!

Prayer:

Jesus, You said that You would never leave me nor forsake me, and I take You at Your Word. The Father did not abandon You to the grave, but raised You up in the power of His Spirit. Because You live, I can live also. Because You were not abandoned, I know You will never abandon me. You are with me today and for the rest of my life, throughout eternity! Thank You! Amen.
