FORSAKEN BY DISCIPLES
(Old Testament Prophecy - Zechariah 13:7)
“Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, the man who is my partner,says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Strike down the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn against the lambs.”
(Fulfilled in Jesus - Mark 14:50)
“Then all his disciples deserted him and ran away.”
Thought:
Good or bad, when great prophets or teachers are destroyed or disgraced, their followers disperse out of fear.
Prayer:
Father, Your Word is steadfast and true. May I be a disciple that follows You always and never flees. You are the Great Commander and go before me in every battle I face. May I live a life that reflects an understanding of that everlasting truth. Amen.
