JESUS PUT TO SHAME AND DISHONOR

(Old Testament Prophecy - Psalm 69:4)

“Those who hate me without cause outnumber the hairs on my head. Many enemies try to destroy me with lies, demanding that I give back what I didn’t steal.”

(Fulfilled in Jesus - John 15:24-25)

“If I hadn’t done such miraculous signs among them that no one else could do, they would not be guilty. But as it is, they have seen everything I did, yet they still hate me and my Father. This fulfills what is written in their Scriptures: ‘They hated me without cause.’”

Thought:

Some scholars say that Psalm 69 was written in 1000 B.C., but regardless of the actual date of the writing, these thoughts were recorded long before Jesus was falsely accused; God foretold it.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for caring about all the details of my life. Forgive me for the times my lack of faith makes me just as guilty as those who despised You without cause. I know that You opened Your arms in forgiveness. I receive Your forgiveness and the life-giving power that You grant to me through Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
