BORN OF A VIRGIN

(Old Testament Prophecy - Isaiah 7:14)

“All right then, the Lord himself will choose the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel — God is with us.”

(Fulfilled in Jesus - Luke 1:26-27, 30-31)

“In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David…” “Don’t be frightened, Mary, the angel told her, for God has decided to bless you! You will become pregnant and have a son, and you are to name him Jesus.”

Thought:

God chose to reveal His plan to bring humanity back into relationship with Himself long before Jesus was born.

Prayer:

Thank You God, that You control all things. While I was dead in my sins, You had a plan for redemption through the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You that You are faithful to the promises You make to Your people. While I am weak and broken, You are never-failing. Amen.
