BROUGHT AS A LAMB

(Old Testament Prophecy - Isaiah 53:7)

“He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.”

(Fulfilled in Jesus - John 1:29)

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!’”

Thought:

Each family in Israel had to have a lamb at Passover each year to shed its blood as a sacrificial offering to restore relationship with God and pay for their sins. But only the Lamb of God, Jesus, the Anointed Son of God’s blood could take away the sins of the world once and for all.

Prayer:

Lord, I am still astounded that You chose not to say a thing in Your defense, but I trust completely in Your redemptive plan. Thank You, Jesus, for Your willingness to be the sacrificial Lamb that takes away my sin. I praise Your holy and magnificent name, JESUS, MESSIAH, LAMB OF GOD! Amen.
