JESUS IS GOD’S SERVANT

(Old Testament Prophecy - Isaiah 42:1)

“Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, and I am pleased with him. I have put my Spirit upon him. He will reveal justice to the nations.”

(Fulfilled in Jesus - Matthew 12:18)

“Look at my Servant, whom I have chosen. He is my Beloved, and I am very pleased with him. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.”

Thought:

God is consistent in His message, no matter how many years are between a prophecy and its fulfillment. Jesus is indeed chosen by God and a just ruler of nations and God delights in Him.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, today I am reminded that you are God’s servant and God delights in You. You have God’s Spirit and You have made the ultimate sacrifice so I can be adopted into Your family. You give me the same Spirit to indwell my being. Help me to be Your servant as You were God’s chosen one. I now see how You delight in me just as the Father delighted in You. Amen.
